All students have a SAIT email account. Your account is automatically activated within one day after you satisfy one of the following criteria:
- you accept your offer of admission to a credit program and pay your non-refundable tuition deposit, or
- you register for a continuing education course or apprenticeship training program.
Your login information will be sent to your personal email address. Access your SAIT email through Microsoft 365 Online.
Email address: firstname.lastname@edu.sait.ca
Default password:
sent to your preferred email inbox – subject ‘Your SAIT Student Email Address.’
If there's more than one student with your first and last name, find your SAIT email address by logging in to mySAIT and selecting Personal Information on the mySAIT tab.
Your SAIT email password is the same as your Microsoft 365 password. This is also your password to log in to a SAIT computer and SAIT wireless. If you change your password for one, you change your password for the others as well. Always change your password from the default after you log in the first time.
Anti-spam service
SAIT's anti-spam software services help make your web and email experience safer
The system will tag any malicious emails received and send an email to you, letting you know the email has been placed in quarantine. If you recognize the email and know it's not a threat, you will have the ability to release it from quarantine.
Considerations when reviewing a quarantined message:
- Always double-check before sharing sensitive information or transferring money. Phishing emails will often have an email address or domain name that is slightly different than the purported sender's real address. Double-checking with a sender using an email address you know to be legitimate can help prevent trouble.
- Be suspicious of poor grammar and spelling. Many phishing campaigns originate in countries where English is not the first language. Consequently, phishing emails often contain irregularities in grammar or spelling.
- Don't click on links or open attachments unless you are sure they're legitimate. This is one of the most important phishing tips. Users can hover over a link to see the address it directs to – in a phishing email, the address will often have nothing to do with the purported sender's domain. And before opening attachments, triple-check to make sure the email is from a real source.
SAIT has deployed a new feature in Outlook that allows users to report emails they receive as either phishing or spam. The purpose of this feature is to allow quick reporting of any phishing emails as well as improve SAIT's spam protection filters.
You will also be able to report any emails incorrectly marked as spam.
The Report Message feature can be found on the home ribbon in Outlook. Click on the drop-down and select Phishing, Junk or Not Junk. A pop-up message will appear. Review the message, and click ‘Report’.
Visit the Knowledge Base in ServiceNow for complete instructions on using this new feature and more information on identifying phishing messages.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.
SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
