Short-term study abroad

Short-term study abroad programs typically range between 1-8 weeks in duration. Depending on your study abroad program, you may participate in tours and cultural experiences, various classes relevant to your SAIT program at partner institutes, service learning opportunities, and more!  Some of our most popular opportunities include:

  • Program specific study abroad programs are created and led by SAIT faculty to give their students an international perspective on their field of study through sightseeing tours, service learning projects, industry visits, and more!
  • The Global Education Network (GEN) is a partnership of four institutions who work together to facilitate staff and student exchange in order to provide an innovative learning experience, enhance intercultural knowledge and develop intercultural competencies.  Current GEN partners:
  • SAIT also works closely with Global Learning Programs in Costa Rica to provide short-term group study tours relating to various SAIT programs of study on an annual basis.
  • SAIT is thrilled to work with the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute to provide internship opportunities across India in 2024.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
