How to get started
The meal plan not only offers delicious meals but is also a budget-friendly and convenient option for students living in residence. Signing up is quick and easy, making it the ideal choice for on-the-go students.
Choose your plan and load your card
Choose from either the Apprentice Plan (four to 13 weeks) or the Semester Plan, and your eCard will be loaded with your dining centre access.
Choose your meal and place your order
Once you arrive at the dining centre, simply scan your eCard to explore a variety of rotating meals and a la carte menu. Hand your selection form to the chef and they'll whip up your delicious meal right in front of you.

SAIT semester meal plan pricing is the best value price. Academic year meal plans must be purchased by Sept. 30, 2025, to benefit from the exclusive pricing. Any meal plans purchased after Sept. 30, 2025, will be charged at a pro-rated 5-day Fall 2025 and 5-day Winter 2026 rate.

All dietary restrictions and allergies can be accommodated on your meal plan. Gluten free, dairy free, halal, vegetarian and vegan options are readily available. If your allergies are more complicated, please reach out to mealplans@hotelarts.ca for more information.
Yes, the food is pre-portioned. Meal plan holders can swipe their card or credential again and access a second meal (or even a third meal) Meals are provided one at a time for dine in and take out. Bottomless beverages and snacks are provided all day, along with grab and go offerings and leftovers to re-heat later.
Snacks are offered during business hours only. The lower level reflects those hours as well. Students can arrange for early or late meal and snack pick-ups as necessary and when the Begin Tower Dining Centre can accommodate.
Begin Tower Dining Centre is open from 7 am – 9 pm Monday to Friday and 8 am – 8 pm on weekends. Hours are subject to change. Arrangements can be made in person or through the mobile app so that students can pick up meals before or after the meal period.
Yes - door rates apply for each meal period. Entry will be based on availability.
Yes - use the OZ2GO program to take food away or access grab and go options ready to take.
Meal plans are always GST exempt. Daily walk in and punch card rates attract GST charges.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
