A more practical way to learn

A SAIT education delivers skills companies are hiring for today and tomorrow. Our curriculum focuses on current industry needs and our training teaches tech-based skills in state-of-the-art facilities.

Hands-on learning turns academic concepts into real-life applications (90% of employers agree this is a key benefit with polytechnic grads). SAIT students experience what they’ll be doing in the workplace before they leave the classroom so our grads enter the workplace feeling more confident.

We prepare our students for a practical career rather than a theoretical one.

Small classes

Your student will have more opportunities at SAIT for one-on-one learning. Universities can be large, faceless places, but our students know each other and their instructors by their first names.

Industry-led

We teach skills that companies want now so our grads are better prepared for their new careers. SAIT has partnerships with hundreds of industry leaders who inform our curriculum and work directly with students through presentations, projects and practicums.

Degrees, diplomas and trades

No matter the type of education your child is looking for, they'll find it at SAIT. Our four-year Bachelor's degrees are just as accessible as our certificate or apprenticeship programs.

Located in the heart of Calgary

SAIT's central campus boasts some of the best views in Calgary and provides easy access to the rest of the city.

The LRT/CTrain (Calgary Public Transit) connects our campus to the nearby community of Kensington, downtown, the Calgary Tower and the Stampede Grounds, to name a few highlights. We're also a short distance from the Calgary International Airport — only a 17 km drive.

Grocery stores, restaurants (including several dining options on campus) and parks are all walkable, while cinemas and shopping centres are a short bike ride or drive away.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
