Powering people, places and possibilities on Giving Day
Another day, another dollar. Only yesterday wasn’t just another day — it was Giving Day — and thanks to our incredible donor family we raised a lot more than just a dollar! When 10 am rolled around on Nov. 6, the SAIT community had risen to the challenge and made sure the eighth annual Giving Day was a massive success.
After just 24 hours of fun-filled celebration and motivation SAIT donors stepped up to the plate to support student success. As the campaign came to a close, 306 donors had contributed to help raise $136,247 towards unlocking current and future student potential.
People. Places. Possibilities.
This year, Giving Day was about coming together to support SAIT people, places and possibilities. And thanks to the extended SAIT family of students, alumni, donors and employees, the possibilities are endless!
“Your support plays a crucial role in helping students like myself achieve their goals. Thank you once again for your generosity; it truly makes a difference.”
Peter Mc Klein Deloverges
Automotive Service Technician student, Student Award recipient
“Your generous support has made a significant impact in my educational journey and has brought me closer to achieving my career goals. I am truly appreciative of your commitment to helping students succeed. Thank you once again for your generosity. I look forward to making the most of this opportunity.”
Daisy Amann
Pre-Employment Electrician student, Student Award recipient
Challenge accepted
Giving Day offered a number of fun and engaging challenges for donors to participate in throughout the day. These included the opportunities to double the impact, win prizes and make a difference, all thanks to SAIT leadership-level donors, sponsors and partners.
One challenge that caused a buzz was Donna's Midday Momentum Match. For this challenge, Donna Lambert, Manager, Advancement Services & Student Awards at SAIT, would donate $1,000 to support a SAIT’s Neurodiversity Alliance project if 35 donors made a gift between 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. During that time 39 donors came forward to support student success and the challenge was unlocked!
To spread the word and build excitement on campus, SAIT volunteers and staff set up a gratitude booth in the Irene Lewis Atrium where students could write thank you notes, enter to win prizes and snap some fun photos!
Thank you
Thanks to all the incredible members of our SAIT family who joined in the fun on Giving Day! We could not have achieved our goal without the dedication, commitment and generosity of our donors. Your support enables us to break down barriers, elevate opportunities, and create a future where every student can flourish.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
