3 ways to create a fresh start this fall
A change of season is upon us — and given the challenges of the last 18 months, many have never been more eager to turn the page and start a new chapter. If you’ve been dreaming about what’s next, now’s the time to make it happen.
Here are just a few opportunities to create your fresh start at SAIT this fall.
Get into tech in a short amount of time
There are currently 2,000+ vacant tech jobs in Calgary. To help fill them, we’ve created a number of career-ready programs, including a series of 12-week bootcamps. Designed to empower mid-career professionals looking to upskill or make a career change, bootcamps are perfect for those seeking both essential and technical skills.
Registration is now open for bootcamps in Applied Machine Learning and Applied Product Management. Plus, if you’re a member of the SAIT alumni family, check out the Level Up Alumni Awards to save on your studies.
“I no longer think of work in terms of what I did before — I look at work in terms of what I'm able to do now,” says Igor Cornejo, who recently completed the Applied Machine Learning bootcamp. “The skills I learned can be used in any industry and sector. This space is new enough to create your own opportunities.”
Looking to upskill…
As the needs of the economy continue to evolve, the health of any career is becoming increasingly dependent on the continuous renewal of skills. Whether the goal is career advancement, a new or different career, or a career that makes a difference, having work-ready skills can change lives. That’s where SAIT’s Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Studies comes in.
“I want to stay current, and SAIT is a great place to do that,” says Michele Smith, who earned an Applied Project Management Certificate of Achievement from SAIT.

SAIT'S
2020-2025
Strategic plan
Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.
SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
