Get comfortable at SAIT's Open House

SAIT is getting ready to welcome prospective students to campus for Open House.

This event offers you the chance to talk with staff, faculty and volunteers, learn more about programs and ask questions to help you decide your next steps.

"It's a great event to connect with guests, educate them about what SAIT can offer and help them make decisions around their futures," says Shirley Piersma, Associate Director, Marketing and Recruitment.

The doors to Macdonald Hall and the Irene Lewis Atrium will open to prospective students on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 10 am to 4 pm for the Open House. SAIT will showcase its offerings and new programs from the School of Hospitality and Tourism, School of Information and Communications Technologies and MacPhail School of Energy — which are currently pending government approval.

"We continue to evolve SAIT's programming to meet the needs of students and industry today. We're excited to showcase our anticipated new offerings, along with all our other programs, at the upcoming Open House," says Piersma.

Find your fit

SAIT's eight schools each have their own unique programs — with credentials ranging from certificates, diplomas, post-diplomas and baccalaureate degrees. Visit Open House to start the conversation to see how SAIT can be a fit for your future.

"We have the opportunity to spread program awareness directly with attendees — we can help them find the best one for them in areas they maybe didn't know existed," says Piersma.

Prime time to socialize

Attendees will be able to have in-depth, meaningful conversations with school representatives to help find the program most suitable for them. Chat one-on-one with deans, instructors and volunteers for details about life at SAIT, or sit in on a program information session for further insight.

Why not take a walk? Join a campus or program-specific tour to see all our campus has to offer — including best study spots and places to eat — while meeting others considering making SAIT their stomping ground.

For friends and family

Bring the crew along — there's room for everyone to learn! Whether they're exploring their own options at SAIT or ways to support you as a prospective student, we welcome your friends and family.

We look forward to seeing you at Open House! Find more information and register for the upcoming event.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
