Calgary, AB (Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024) — CEOWORLD magazine has announced two 2024 lists of best schools in the world, awarding the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) top accolades among Canadian Business Schools and Hospitality and Hotel Management Schools.

Up one position from 2023, SAIT’s School of Hospitality and Tourism ranked #14 in the world and #1 in Canada. Home to world-class faculty and programming in both hospitality and tourism management, as well as the culinary arts, students can choose from degree, diploma and certificate programs. The school is renowned for its immersive classrooms that ensure students are learning in real-world environments.

“We continue to be deeply honoured, proud and grateful for the recognition from CEOWORLD magazine,” says James Overall, Dean, SAIT’s School of Hospitality and Tourism. “As a school, we are committed to SAIT’s vision to be a global leader in applied education and our foundational mission to prepare students for successful careers and lives.”

Offering industry-led programs to inspire future leaders of the hospitality industry, SAIT’s immersive learning approach teaches the skills and knowledge needed to meet the demands of today’s dynamic marketplace.

“SAIT graduates have the practical knowledge and human skills to start their careers and enable long-term success,” says Overall. “This wouldn’t be possible without our passionate and dedicated faculty and staff who put student success at the heart of everything we do."

Moving to Canada’s #1 business school and breaking into the top 50 rankings, SAIT’s School of Business placed #49 in the world. As one of the largest business schools in western Canada, SAIT’s approach to applied learning and connection with industry sets the institution apart. After studying in degree, diploma and certificate programs delivered by faculty who are experts in their field, SAIT business graduates shine brightly in today’s workforce.

“Being recognized as Canada’s top business school by CEOWORLD is an honour and a testament to the exceptional team we have at SAIT,” says Janet Segato, Dean, SAIT’s School of Business. “I am so proud of the students, alumni, faculty and staff who bring applied learning to life inside and outside the classroom. This recognition demonstrates our meaningful connections with industry, and the collaborative and caring community within the School of Business.”

The School of Business is launching a new major for the Bachelor of Business Administration degree program in Fall 2024 — Financial Technology and Innovation.

“Industry relevant curriculum ensures SAIT students are ready for the future,” says Segato. “Our newest BBA major will prepare graduates to leverage FinTech to drive business growth and navigate emerging fields.”
