Jennifer’s journey at SAIT began as an instructor, where she was instrumental in the development of a Medical Radiologic Technology program. She then moved into the role of Practicum Coordinator and completed a Master of Education before accepting a position as an Academic Chair. Jennifer serves as a board member of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists and is involved with Accreditation Canada, which helps accredited healthcare programs across the globe.

As Associate Dean with the School of Health and Public Safety at SAIT, Jennifer balances supporting faculty, students and staff while continuing to work in hospital. From having the privilege of guiding students into her field to working alongside them, her unique perspective includes both educational and industry experience.

Throughout her career, technology has played a significant role in advancing the industry. Jennifer believes artificial intelligence will support enhancements to diagnostic imaging and have a direct impact on the continuous improvement of patient care and outcomes.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
