Web development policy

Becoming a site contributor

Content contributors have access to update pages related to their school or department.

They can update text, buttons, and tables, add and replace images and documents, modify, reorder, remove and create new blocks, and add events to the calendar. Some contributors are able to also create new basic pages and story posts.

Contributors do not have the ability to change navigation menus, modify site information architecture, or change the overarching design of a page (CSS elements.)

Contributors are expected to be active within the CMS platform, reviewing and updating their information (if required) every other month at minimum. Contributors should be familiar with basic principles in writing for web, SEO and be very comfortable with SaaS platforms.

Please review our web governance model to understand the roles and responsibilities of the various teams who operate and contribute to sait.ca.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
