World Water Day Expo

World Water Day is an annual international observance day. The MacPhail School of Energy is hosting a World Water Day information expo at SAIT in collaboration with the Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation (CAWST) and Water First.

Drop by the expo to explore sustainable water management and conservation, connect with sustainability programs and applied research #HereAtSAIT and learn more about this year’s United Nations’ theme: glacier preservation.

CAWST is a Canadian charity and licensed engineering firm addressing the global need for safe drinking water and sanitation. Water First is Canada's leading charitable organization working with Indigenous communities to resolve local water challenges.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
