SAIT is committed to supporting our international graduates and the employers who hire them. SAIT’s International Centre is offering a free immigration consultation service for Alberta-based employers to enhance employment outcomes and improve retention rates.

This service provides valuable information to help employers navigate their roles and responsibilities in supporting their employees applying for Permanent Residency (PR) in Canada.

Who's eligible?

You are eligible for our tailored consultation service if you have hired an international graduate from SAIT who:

  • holds a valid Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)
  • has been employed full-time (minimum 30 hours per week) with your company for at least 6 months
  • plans to apply or is in the process of applying for PR through Canadian Experience Class via Express Entry, or one of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) worker streams

What we offer

We provide free one-on-one consultation or email guidance with a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) to help you:

  • Verify the job offer aligns with the selected PR program requirements
  • identify and evaluate employer-required documents
  • understand your roles and responsibilities as an employer
    • most PR programs for international graduates do not require their employer to obtain a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)
    • employers are not required to pay or subsidize the PR application
    • you can find more about the AAIP employer requirements on the Government of Alberta's website.

SAIT's Permanent Residency (PR) Pathway Support service is available to employers that have hired a SAIT international graduate in a full-time capacity (minimum of 30 hours per week) for at least six consecutive months.

By submitting this form, the employer confirms that they have obtained consent from their employees to share personal information with SAIT. The employer acknowledges that it is their responsibility to ensure compliance with all applicable privacy laws and regulations.

SAIT’s PR Pathway Support for Employers strives to provide tailored support and guidance for employers on the most up-to-date knowledge available, however, immigration policy in Canada is subject to change and we reserve the right to adjust our services and explanations accordingly. International graduates are responsible as PR applicants for verifying their own program eligibility and ensuring they meet other criteria for PR approval.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
