City of Calgary Water Restrictions

SAIT is observing the City of Calgary’s stage four mandatory outdoor water restrictions. Further repair work for our city’s water mains is required, and the city has asked Calgarians to reduce water usage. Stage four entirely limits use of:

  • sprinklers and in-ground sprinkler systems
  • hose watering
  • hand watering watering new grass or sod
  • washing outdoors
  • filling outdoor pools or hot tubs
  • filling fountains
  • outdoor water use for construction purposes
  • water use for home renovation projects
  • water use for pesticide and fertilizer application.

We appreciate your assistance in complying with the City of Calgary’s guidelines for stage four outdoor water restrictions. It remains essential the community works together to help ensure there is enough water available for fire-fighting and essential needs.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
