General education development tests (GED)

SAIT accepts GED test results in lieu of the specific program admission requirements on a limited basis. This is in alignment with Apprenticeship and Industry Training Alberta for entry to our pre-employment programs only.

Consider our Academic Upgrading program as a pathway to meet the requirements for all other programs.

Home school courses

We will only accept homeschool courses that appear on an official high school transcript issued by a provincial ministry of education.

We do not accept progress reports or homeschool providers' documentation for program admission.

Please get in touch with the education ministry from your home province to discuss including your courses on an official transcript.

These transcripts will need to be reviewed by the Office of the Registrar.

International documents

You'll require an international document assessment if your transcripts and educational documents are from outside of Canada.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
