Offer letter

If you are offered a seat for a credit program at SAIT, you will receive an offer letter only if the below conditions have been met:

  • you have applied through ApplyAlberta or SAIT’s Virtual Application System (VAS) AND
  • you have submitted official transcripts or sufficient evidence to confirm you meet or will meet the admission requirements before the appropriate application deadline AND
  • there is space in your chosen program.

The way your offer letter is delivered will differ for domestic and international students.

Domestic students

You will receive an email when a decision has been made on your application. This will include a link to your admission portal to find your offer letter.

International students

You will receive an email from the VAS application portal from the email noreply@vasuniverse.com with instructions to download your offer. Be sure to check your spam or junk folder.

Your offer letter will include instructions to pay the appropriate tuition deposit including the payment deadline.

By paying the confirmation deposit, you are committing to meet the following deadlines prior the start of the intake:

Course registration | First-term tuition payment

In addition, you must be aware of other important information:

Important dates | Withdrawals and refund policy | Deferrals

When you have paid your tuition deposit, you will receive a second letter confirming you have accepted your offer. If you’re an international student, you must include this letter when you apply for your study permit.

Conditional offer of admission

If you received a conditional offer of admission, your letter will provide the requirements you still need to confirm before your program's transcript deadline.

Your conditional offer will become a conditional acceptance after you pay your tuition deposit. If you fail to pay the deposit by the deadline on your letter, your offer will be cancelled. Learn more about paying a tuition deposit for domestic and international applicants.

Letter of acceptance

When you have paid your tuition deposit, you will receive a second letter confirming you have accepted your offer.

The Letter of Acceptance (LOA) is the official registration document issued by SAIT to confirm your registration into one of our programs and intakes.

If you’re an international student, you must include this letter when you apply for your study permit.

Conditional letter of acceptance

If you received a conditional letter of acceptance, you are expected to provide proof of meeting the missing requirements by the deadline specific to the intake.

Applicants who fail to meet the deadlines will have their applications cancelled, their seat revoked, and the deposit forfeited.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
