2023 satisfaction results by school

Compared with 2022, satisfaction measures have decreased slightly on most aspects of the educational experience at SAIT, except for the adequacy of shop/lab equipment, which remained consistent with the last year at 82%.

Graduates from the School of Health & Public Safety and the School of Manufacturing & Automation have rated many aspects of their experience higher than their colleagues from other schools.

The School of Health & Public Safety achieved the highest 94% satisfaction rating with regard to the overall quality of graduates’ educational experience at SAIT, which is seven percentage points higher than the overall SAIT rating of 87%.

2023 other results by school

Compared to 2022, there was an eight-percentage-point decrease in graduates who agreed that their program was worth the financial cost. The level of agreement was the highest for graduates in the School of Health & Public Safety (85%). In comparison, the lowest was recorded for the School of Advanced Digital Technology (56%) – a significant decrease by 17 percentage points.

In addition, there was a five-percentage-point decrease in graduates who indicated they achieved their goals set when starting studies at SAIT. The School of Health & Public Safety graduates have recorded the highest agreement scores (91%), and the School of Advanced Digital Technology has experienced the lowest (63%).

More than nine-in-ten SAIT graduates would recommend SAIT to others (92%), while 82% of graduates would recommend their program of studies. Health, hospitality and transportation graduates were the most likely to recommend SAIT (95% each), and construction graduates were the most likely to recommend their program (91%).

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.
