Janet Annesley is the Chief Sustainability Officer at Kiwetinohk Energy, a growing Canadian energy transition company based in Calgary, Alberta.
Janet has extensive experience in senior public and private sector management in a career spanning 20 years. She most recently served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Human Resources at Husky Energy. Janet was previously Chief of Staff to Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources.
Janet holds an MBA from Queen’s University; she is a fellow with the Public Policy Forum and the Royal Canadian Geographical Society and sits on the board of Calgary’s Green Line LRT project.
Janet also volunteers with the Nature Conservancy of Canada and Clean Prosperity.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
