Emily’s commitment to student success and fiscal responsibility throughout the institution is reflected in her ability to develop effective working relationships, collaborating across the organization and externally to improve operational and financial strategies.

As Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Corporate Services at SAIT, Emily oversees the financial strategy of the institution, as well as Capital projects and the departments of Finance, Facilities Management, Commercial Services, Information Technology Services, Athletics and Recreation, Internal Audit, and Safety and Community Services.

Emily has been with SAIT since 2005, first as a financial analyst, moving through various progressive roles to Associate Vice President of SAIT’s Finance department, and now CFO and VP, Corporate Services.

She has her Certified General Accountant designation with strengths in enterprise risk management, strategy, change management and leadership development.

Emily is a board member of PanGlobal Training Systems and Chair of their Audit Committee.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
