Host your ceremony and reception - stand-up or banquet style - in one of our stunning spaces.

Our ceremonies begin at $1,500 - $1,800, depending on location. Included in each booking, we will provide you with

  • access to our inventory of wedding essentials, including chairs, tables, a podium, and a built-in audio system for your ambient music and speeches.
  • an on-site and day-of coordinator who will oversee the setup, transition and takedown of the space as well as all catering essentials and post-cleaning of the event.

Your wedding day should be stress-free, and we're here to help make it so. If something from your vision is still missing, don't worry - we'll work with our vendors for all the little extras.

Lounge 22

Located in Begin Tower, Lounge 22 offers floor-to-ceiling windows with a noteworthy view of the mountains and Calgary’s beautiful city centre.

From stand-up reception to family-style dining to banquet seating — celebrate your big day in Lounge 22. Take advantage of our hotel rooms and penthouse suite - making the 22nd floor exclusive to you and your guests.

This room offers an eighty-inch TV with a built-in sound system to set the ambience, chairs and five-foot tables for you and your guests — with a layout of your choice.

With its beautiful high ceilings and elegant balcony, Macdonald Hall is our most romantic space on campus. Its 1920s architecture will create an experience for both you and your guests that is nowhere short of unique. Access to the café and foyer are included in all packages.

This open space accommodates large-scale ceremonies and receptions while allowing everyone to take the moment. The exposed façade of Heritage Hall will enhance your picture-perfect memories as you say your vows. The three-story-high glass ceilings create an ambience that will wow your guests as the natural light dims into the night.

Curated Catering powered by Hotel Arts

Curated Catering by Hotel Arts is SAIT's exclusive caterer for events on campus.

With each service, we will provide:

  • tableware settings - including plates, cutlery and glassware 
  • napkins - available in white and/or black
  • a bar set up - including a bartender, glassware and appropriate mix (one bar is provided per 100 people).

All food and beverages, with the exception of a cake, must be provided through curated catering; however, we are happy to work with you to create an à la carte menu and bring in additional spirits and wine should you wish to personalize your reception. 

A cake-cutting fee of $5 per person will be changed if applicable.

Additional notes

Venue bookings

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon booking in order to confirm your wedding date. Licensee may terminate the agreement by giving SAIT written notice at least 30 business days prior. Balance owing is processed seven days prior to event.

Insurance

SAIT requires General Liability Insurance ($5 million) for all groups renting its facilities. Insurance coverage will need to specify the room and date(s) the room will be used. This would include set up and tear down dates, ceremony and reception venues, as well as the rehearsal date. Third-party insurance is available through SAIT.

Accommodations

If you or your guests are travelling in for the big day, we offer on-site accommodation on the hotel floor and in the penthouse of our residence building.

Getting ready on campus

Our penthouse suite is the perfect place to use as your space to prepare for your big day. We offer brunch and lunch menus available to keep you and your wedding party nourished before walking down the aisle.

Photography at SAIT

SAIT has become a popular site for photography due to its picturesque architecture and spectacular views. Photographers wishing to photograph on SAIT campus are welcome to do so by following our photography guidelines. If you are hosting your ceremony or reception at SAIT, the photography fee is included in the price.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
