Fire doors and emergency exits
Did you know SAIT has over 600 fire separation doors on campus!?
In most cases, these doors separate hallways from stairwells or help to secure common areas and classrooms. In the event of a fire, these doors protect us from the spread of heat, smoke, and toxic gases.
Please obey all posted signage related to fire doors, and keep them shut.
Doors and entryway maintenance
Have you noticed a door that doesn't close properly? Does it squeak too loudly or is it otherwise causing a nuisance? Let us know so we can fix it!
Submit your request via helpline@sait.ca.
Requesting keys and keycards
The Facilities Management team can create keys for any lock on campus - whether it is for your office door, a shared space with keycard access, or the drawer on your desk.
To get started, submit your request via helpline@sait.ca.

Visiting Campus

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.
SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
