If you choose to use Calgary Transit, you may be eligible for a Universal Transit Pass.
Universal Transit Pass (U-Pass) SAIT was the first post-secondary institution in Alberta to join forces with a public transportation system to allow students universal access to transit services. Included as part of your student fees, the Universal Transit Pass, or U-Pass gives you unlimited access to Calgary's extensive transportation system. This is especially convenient for SAIT students, as SAIT is the only post-secondary institution in Calgary with an on campus C-Train station. Last but not least, the U-Pass is affordable, about one third the cost of a standard transit pass providing SAIT students with convenient, inexpensive and reliable transportation.
In order to be eligible to receive a U-Pass, individuals must be full-time students at SAIT registered in at least nine hours of classes per week (for the entire semester) during the Fall/Winter 15-week semesters. A spring U-Pass is also available for the May to August period. Students must be registered in the 15-week semester to be eligible. SAIT students taking less than the required hours, as well as the public, alumni and contract staff are not eligible to receive a U-Pass. Continuing Education students are eligible to receive a U-Pass if they are registered in at least nine hours of classes per week (for the entire semester).
