Individual Career Planning at SAIT A professional counsellor can help you decide what kind of career you are best suited for and provide assistance in achieving your career goals. There is a fee for non-SAIT students of $135.00 (includes GST). This 2-hour appointment includes a one-on-one session with a professional counsellor who will review with you the results of two assessments: the Strong Interest Inventory and Typefocus Careers. These two questionnaires are completed online by you before your appointment, and the results help to assess your career interests and generate career options according to your personality type. Discover a New Career Workshop is offered approximately one evening per month. The fee is $50.00 per person, and registration is required. This 2-hour workshop will help you to identify a career that fits you. It is held in a classroom setting of a small group of people, and is facilitated by one of our professional counsellors. Prior to attending the workshop, you will need to complete the 2004 Strong Interest Inventory assessment online. Instructions for completing the assessment will be emailed to you after you have registered for the workshop. This workshop is offered between September and April, approximately one evening per month; scheduling varies according to demand. Please call 403.210.4440 to add your name to the waitlist.
