Centre for Innovative Information Technology Solutions

A New Way to Do Technology The goal of the Centre for Innovative Information Technology Solutions (CIITS) is to work with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to decrease the cost and risk of adopting new information technology. Wherever technology can help business, we can help find, proof and implement that technology with our expert staff and state-of-the-art facilities. What's Hot The CIITS has partnership agreements with Microsoft, HP, Cisco and many others. These partnerships are based on the understanding that we are vendor-neutral and our job is to provide our clients access to products from many providers. This allows our clients to test offerings from different companies, and choose the one that is right for them. Because of this approach, our clients can also rely on the CIITS to provide unbiased support to the technology adoption process. What's New The CIITS hosted its first event on Tuesday, October 11, 2005. Bringing together members of the SAIT team, as well as staff from the Calgary Board of Education, the CIITS’ first event was a videoconference and software demonstration with the Collaborative Server Project (another Applied Research and Innovation Services project). The purpose of this project is to develop a system to provide access to software and information to schools throughout Alberta using the province’s fibre optic Supernet.
