University of Fraser Valley Bachelor of Business Administration: Trades Management Apprentice graduates with at least 5 years work experience and a Provincial Certificate of Qualification or inter-provincial certificate of qualification, held for at least one year, are eligible to apply for this business oriented Bachelor of Business Administration in Trades Management degree at University of Fraser Valley. University of Calgary

Graduates of 2-year diplomas will be awarded up to 5 full junior open options. Students transferring from other institutions into programs at the University of Calgary must make themselves aware of the appropriate required (prerequisite) preparation for courses they wish to take. This may be done by consulting the Courses of Instruction section of this Calendar. Students receiving specified transfer credit status for particular courses should be aware that this does not necessarily imply that exact course equivalence is being awarded, but that this may indicate an equivalent level of experience in a subject area.  Updated December 8, 2010  ACAT FORMAL AGREEMENT 89900.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Technology

SAIT Polytechnic Aircraft Structures Technician Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Technology diploma courses are transferable to the Aircraft Structures Technician certificate program. Students must have a 70% or better in each course. Students must meet with the Academic Chair for advertising regarding full-time student status. Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Technology students must also meet the admission requirements of a Grade 12 diploma with a minimum of Grade 12 Math. Updated June 18, 2010 INTERNAL OPTION.

British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT)

Bachelor of Technology - Technology Management

Entrance requirement into BCIT’s Bachelor of Technology in Technology Management states that a two-year post-secondary diploma of technology is the main requirement, therefore graduates of this SAIT Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Technology diploma are eligible to apply along with English 12 or equivalent or English-language proficiency, two years of relevant work experience subject to departmental approval, and a personal interview with the Program Head. Griffith University

Graduate Certificate in Aviation Management (distance) + progression to Masters

For Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Technology graduates with 3 years work experience in the industry. Graduate Certificate (2 semesters distance) and progression to Masters (an additional 40 CP of study) with full credit to transfer. February and July entry. NAIT Bachelor of Technology in Technology Management The Bachelor of Technology degree bridges the gap between technologists and engineers. Specializations are currently offered in Resources and Environmental Management, Applied Building Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology, and Mechanical and Manufacturing Technology, as well as a General Studies option. Open to graduates of an accredited or recognized Applied Science or Engineering Technology program with a minimum GPA of 2.3. Updated April 30, 2008 GENERAL POLICY.

Automotive Service Technology

Automotive Service Technician (Apprenticeship)

Most graduates continue their training and complete an apprenticeship that includes an Alberta Journeyman Certificate as an automotive service technician and an inter-provincial Standards Red Seal. Diploma graduates are eligible for 16 months of credit upon employer approval. In addition, students may be granted trade-related work experience between the first and second year toward your apprenticeship. Students are also eligible to write apprenticeship exams upon completion of training. Updated March 8, 2010 INTERNAL OPTION.

Bachelor of Science in Automotive Technology

Students completing the 2-year diploma in Automotive Service Technology with a minimum GPA of 2.0 will be granted 61.5 semester credits towards a Bachelor of Science in Automotive Technology degree. Interested students must contact Admissions at 1-800-662-6134, extension 3704 for other foreign requirements.  Updated June 27, 2011 FORMAL AGREEMENT.

Athabasca University Bachelor of Human Resources and Labour Relations (Post Diploma) SAIT students graduating with this diploma are eligible for a 60-credit transfer towards a 3-year Bachelor of Human Resources and Labour Relations - Post Diploma degree. Georgian College of Applied Arts and Technology

Bachelor of Applied Business – Automotive Management (Co-op)

Requirements for this Bachelor of Applied Business – Automotive Management degree is the successfully completion of this SAIT Business Administration - Automotive Management diploma, a 6 course bridging semester in which students achieve a minimum of 65% in each course, and the required compulsory degree courses, electives, 1 co-op term and have a certificate from the Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council (AMVIC). Griffith University Bachelor of Business (MGT) or Bachelor of Business (MKT), or Bachelor of Business (HRM), Gold Coast or Nathan For Business Administration - Automotive Management, there is a 6 semester degree program. 3 semesters in GU for completion of this Bachelor of Business in either major. Mount Royal University Bachelor of Business Administration Graduates of SAIT's Business Administration - Automotive Management diploma are eligible for up to 20 courses in the Bachelor of Business Administration (General Management) degree. Northwood University

Bachelor of Business Administration – Automotive Marketing/ Management

SAIT graduates with a two-year diploma can complete the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree within one academic year at one of Northwood University’s traditional campuses in Florida, Michigan and Texas. Students must complete a minimum of 44 credits and achieve a 2.0 cumulative GPA in order to earn a BBA degree with a major of Automotive Marketing  Updated May 18, 2007  FORMAL AGREEMENT.



Northwood University

Bachelor of Business Administration – Automotive Industry Management

SAIT graduates with a two-year diploma can complete the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree within one academic year at one of Northwood University’s traditional campuses in Florida, Michigan and Texas. Students must complete a minimum of 44 credits and achieve a 2.0 cumulative GPA in order to earn a BBA degree with a major of Automotive Industry Management Updated May 18, 2007  FORMAL AGREEMENT.



Royal Roads University Bachelor of Commerce - Entrepreneurial Management Royal Roads University agrees to facilitate the block transfer of students from SAIT who have completed the Business Administration - Automotive Management diploma with appropriate prerequisite qualifications into the third year of the Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management provided all other entrance criteria, including successful completion of a minimum of 60 credits with a minimum GPA of B or equivalent and three to five years business experience, are met and space remains available in this program. The Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management program can be taken as an undergraduate completion degree that comprises years three and four in a 12-month accelerated program or as a 24-month blended study program. More information may be found here. Updated January 27, 2012



University of Lethbridge Graduates of 2-year diplomas, who are interested in transferring to the University of Lethbridge for degree completion, have the option of enrolling in either the Management Co-op or Arts and Science Co-op programs, depending upon their diploma. University of Lethbridge

Bachelor of Management (Post-Diploma)

SAIT graduates with the Business Administration – Automotive Management diploma are admissible up to eight years after graduation into the third year of the Bachelor of Management degree program. Effective May 1, 2009, admission to Post-Diploma BMgt programs at the U of L will be competitive rather than based on a cut-off GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). The course listed is extra to the program, however, when the program allows the course can be incorporated: MGT 3080-Managerial Skill Development. University of Lethbridge Pre-Bachelor of Management/ Bachelor of Education (available in General Management only) Ever thought about becoming a teacher? Students begin the program classified as Pre-Post-Diploma B.Mgt./B.Ed. in the Faculty of Management. After completion of 10 courses, including Education 2500, students must apply to the Faculty of Education. Students are not officially in the Post-Diploma Combined Degrees program until they have been admitted to BOTH the Faculty of Management and the Faculty of Education. Once admitted to both the Faculty of Management and the Faculty of Education students complete the remaining 25 courses in order to meet program requirements for the Bachelor of Management and the Bachelor of Education degrees. Admission is competitive. Admission is guaranteed with a diploma GPA of at least 3.0, and applicants with a diploma GPA between 2.0 and 2.99 may be considered depending on individual circumstances. (on a 4.0 scale). Students admitted to the Pre-Post-Diploma B.Mgt./B.Ed. program are also eligible for participation in the Management Co-operative Education program. University of Ontario Institute of Technology Commerce Bridge, Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Graduates of SAIT’s Business Administration - Automotive Management diploma program with an overall B average or better will be considered for admission to UOIT’s Commerce Bridge program. Students who complete the five bridge courses from a business or non-business program with a minimum cumulative B average or 3.0 GPA, will be eligible for admission to the third year of UOIT’s four-year Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree program. Possession of minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance. Preference will be given to applicants with the best qualifications. Updated November 1, 2010 FORMAL AGREEMENT.

Diesel Equipment Technician

This program has had a name change effective 2008-2009. Formerly known as Heavy Equipment Technician.


SAIT Polytechnic Heavy Equipment Technician (Apprentice) Upon successful completion of the 30 week Diesel Equipment Technician program and successful passing of the Apprentice and Industry Training examination for Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Level One and HET Level Two, students must register as an apprentice in one of these three programs: HET off-road, HET on-road, HET technician. After completing this, students enroll in SAIT and complete either third year (off-road) or fourth year (on-road) or both (third or fourth) to complete HET. Updated August 28, 2009 INTERNAL OPTION.


NAIT Industrial Heavy Equipment Technology SAIT Diesel Equipment Technician certificate graduates would be admitted to 3rd semester (2nd year) of NAIT's Industrial Heavy Equipment Technology diploma provided SAIT students complete missing NAIT courses from 1st and 2nd semesters: 1) ASE154 Effective Communications I and ASM120 Technical Mathematics and ELS243 Basic Electricity are prerequisite courses and must be done online or at summer school before registration 2) ASE254 Effective Communications II, and ASP135 Physics I and MST206 Machine Shop would have to be taken in their Third Semester (making a heavy semester but these are necessary for their Fourth Semester).
