Thompson Rivers University Bachelor of Technology: Trades and Technology Leadership Any apprenticeship graduate with a journeyman's ticket and a minimum of 4 years experience related to their trade will be eligible to apply up to 60 credits towards the Bachelor of Technology in Trades and Technology Leadership degree program at Thompson Rivers University.  Updated April 30, 2008  FORMAL AGREEMENT.


University of Fraser Valley Bachelor of Business Administration: Trades Management Apprentice graduates with at least 5 years work experience and a Provincial Certificate of Qualification or inter-provincial certificate of qualification, held for at least one year, are eligible to apply for this business oriented Bachelor of Business Administration in Trades Management degree at University of Fraser Valley. University of Calgary

Graduates of 2-year diplomas will be awarded up to 5 full junior open options. Students transferring from other institutions into programs at the University of Calgary must make themselves aware of the appropriate required (prerequisite) preparation for course they wish to take.  This may be done by consulting the Courses of Instruction section of this Calendar.  Students receiving specified transfer credit status for particular courses should be aware that this does not necessarily imply that exact course equivalence is being awarded, but that this may indicate an equivalent level of experience in a subject area.  Updated December 8, 2010  ACAT FORMAL AGREEMENT 89900.

British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) Bachelor of Technology - Technology Management Entrance requirement into BCIT’s Bachelor of Technology in Technology Management states that a two-year post-secondary diploma of technology is the main requirement, therefore graduates of this SAIT diploma are eligible to apply along with English 12 or equivalent or English-language proficiency, two years of relevant work experience subject to departmental approval, and a personal interview with Program Head. Specializations are currently offered in Resources and Environmental Management, Applied Building Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology, and Mechanical and Manufacturing Technology, as well as a General Studies option. Open to graduates of an accredited or recognized Applied Science or Engineering Technology program with a minimum GPA of 2.3. Updated April 30, 2008 GENERAL POLICY.


Thompson Rivers University Bachelor of Technology: Trades and Technology Leadership Graduates of any two year technology program, who also have a minimum of 4 years experience related to their program of study, will be eligible to apply up to 60 credits towards the Bachelor of Technology in Trades and Technology Leadership degree program at Thompson Rivers University.  Updated April 30, 2008  FORMAL AGREEMENT.


University of New Brunswick, Saint John Bachelor of Applied Management This Bachelor of Applied Management (BAM) degree program is extremely flexible and suited to two year diploma graduates wanting to receive their degree in two years (4 one-term semesters). Admission requirements for this degree include successful completion of any two year program with an overall average of 70%. The two years of study at UNB would be specifically designed to build upon their studies and focus acquired through their college program. Athabasca University Bachelor of Science (Post Diploma) The four-year Bachelor of Science (Post Diploma) is offered by Athabasca University's Centre for Science. Students must have successfully completed an approved science-related technician or technology diploma from a college or institution of technology, or have provincial designation as a technician or technologist, before they enroll in the Bachelor of Science (Post Diploma). The BScPD is designed to allow students to continue studies towards a science degree from either the technician or technologist level. Students complete the program regulations in effect at the time of their enrolment. SAIT students are granted 30 credits towards this degree. Updated August 28, 2009 ACAT FORMAL AGREEMENT 89478.


British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) Any student with technical qualifications from outside BCIT can only be considered for direct entry into the Design option of BCIT's Mechanical Engineering Technology program which is at level 3 (second year) of the Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) program.  Acceptance from there into level 5 (third year) of the B. Eng. program requires the completion of the Design option with a minimum GPA of 70% in the second year and successful completion of two higher-level math course which are offered in term 4 in addition to the term 4 curriculum of the Design option.  Updated April 30, 2008  GENERAL POLICY.

SAIT Polytechnic Bachelor of Applied Petroleum Engineering Technology A two-year SAIT diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Power Engineering Technology, or similar engineering technology, with a grade point average of 2.5 or better is the normal entrance requirements. Lakehead University Bachelor of Engineering The Faculty of Engineering at Lakehead University offers post-diploma programs which enable qualified engineering technology graduates from accredited Canadian technology programs to obtain engineering degrees. Memorial University Bachelor of Engineering The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Memorial University has bridging programs that allow certain diploma graduates to enter the Engineering program with advanced standing. In each case, the bridging program consists of two academic terms: Fall and Winter semesters, followed by entry into Academic Term 4 of the appropriate discipline. Memorial University Bachelor of Technology Memorial University offers a Bachelor of Technology program, administered by the Marine Institute, with admission available to graduates of nationally accredited applied science/engineering technology and health science technology diploma programs. Graduates of the Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma program may satisfy the requirements for the degree by successfully completing thirteen courses (39 credit hours) offered by a number of the University's faculties and schools, including a technical project and report. The degree is offered through distance delivery, with all the required courses, together with a number of elective choices, delivered using Internet-based technology.  Updated August 28, 2009 FORMAL AGREEMENT.


Montana Tech Bachelor of Science, General Engineering Mechanical Engineering Technology graduates who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher are eligible to apply to Montana Tech’s Bachelor of Science in General Engineering and receive a full line of 64 pre-determined transfer credits for the General Engineering, Mechanical Option. Students will still take 2½ yrs to complete the program due to pre-requisites and the timing of courses. For more information, contact International Enrollment Services at 1-406-486-4568. University of British Columbia Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering Upon successful completion of the appropriate six month Summer or Winter Mechanical Engineering Bridge Program offered at Camosun College, students with a two year diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology will have access to the third year of the University of British Columbia Mechanical Engineering program at either Vancouver (September) or Okanagan (January or September) campus. University of New Brunswick, Saint John Bachelor of Applied Management This Bachelor of Applied Management (BAM) degree program is extremely flexible and suited to two year diploma graduates wanting to receive their degree in two years (4 one-term semesters). Admission requirements for this degree include successful completion of any two year program with an overall average of 70%. The two years of study at UNB would be specifically designed to build upon their studies and focus acquired through their college program. Welding Engineering Technology

SAIT Polytechnic Bachelor of Applied Technology, Geographic Information Systems A two-year diploma from a recognized Canadian college, technical institute or equivalent, or successful completion of two years at a recognized post-secondary academic institute. Updated April 30, 2008.


SAIT Polytechnic Technology Infrastructure Management Recent and past graduates of any SAIT two-year diplomas are eligible for admission to the Technology Infrastructure Management (Fast-Track) program. See Program Coordinator for further details. Updated February 1, 2011.


Athabasca University Bachelor of Science (Post Diploma) The four-year Bachelor of Science (Post Diploma) is offered by Athabasca University's Centre for Science. Students must have successfully completed an approved science-related technician or technology diploma from a college or institution of technology, or have provincial designation as a technician or technologist, before they enroll in the Bachelor of Science (Post Diploma). The BSc(PD) is designed to allow students to continue studies towards a science degree from either the technician or technologist level. Students complete the program regulations in effect at the time of their enrolment. British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) Bachelor of Technology - Manufacturing Entrance requirements into BCIT's Bachelor of Technology in Manufacturing are a two-year post-secondary diploma of technology in a manufacturing-related technology along with at least six months of appropriate work experience, English 12 or equivalent or English-language proficiency, and an interview.  Updated July 4, 2007  GENERAL POLICY.


British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) Bachelor of Technology - Technology Management Entrance requirement into BCIT’s Bachelor of Technology in Technology Management states that a two-year post-secondary diploma of technology is the main requirement, therefore graduates of this SAIT diploma are eligible to apply along with English 12 or equivalent or English-language proficiency, two years of relevant work experience subject to departmental approval, and a personal interview with Program Head. Memorial University Bachelor of Technology Memorial University offers a Bachelor of Technology program, administered by the Marine Institute, with admission available to graduates of nationally accredited applied science/engineering technology and health science technology diploma programs. Graduates of the Welding Engineering Technology diploma program may satisfy the requirements for the degree by successfully completing thirteen courses (39 credit hours) offered by a number of the University's faculties and schools, including a technical project and report. NAIT Bachelor of Technology in Technology Management The Bachelor of Technology degree bridges the gap between technologists and engineers.
