Thompson Rivers University Bachelor of Technology: Trades and Technology Leadership Any apprenticeship graduate with a journeyman's ticket and a minimum 4 years experience related to their trade will be eligible to apply up to 60 credits towards the Bachelor of Technology in Trades and Technology Leadership degree program at Thompson Rivers University.  Updated April 30, 2008  FORMAL AGREEMENT.


University of Fraser Valley Bachelor of Business Administration: Trades Management Apprentice graduates with at least 5 years work experience and a Provincial Certificate of Qualification or inter-provincial certificate of qualification, held for at least one year, are eligible to apply for this business oriented Bachelor of Business Administration in Trades Management degree at University of Fraser Valley. Communication Technician - Apprenticeship

SAIT Polytechnic Information Technology, Network Systems major Communication Technician (apprenticeship) training would be creditable towards the Information Technology - Network Systems major diploma. A full journeyman would qualify for up to 4 full courses determined on a case-by-case basis. Missing first year courses must be completed before graduation. See Academic Chair for further details. SAIT Polytechnic Technology Infrastructure Management

University of Calgary

Graduates of 2-year diplomas will be awarded up to 5 full junior open options.  Students transferring from other institutions into programs at the University of Calgary must make themselves aware of the appropriate required (prerequisite) preparation of courses they wish to take. This may be done by consulting the Courses of Instruction section of this Calendar. Students receiving specified transfer credit status for particular courses should be aware that this does not necessarily imply that exact course equivalence is being awarded, but that this may indicate an equivalent level of experience in a subject area.  Updated December 8, 2010  ACAT FORMAL AGREEMENT 89900.

Athabasca University Bachelor of Science in Computing and Information Systems (Post Diploma) SAIT graduates of the Bachelor of Applied Technology, Information Systems (Majors: Distributed Automation and Control Systems and Network Management) are granted 60 credits towards the Bachelor of Science in Computing and Information Systems (Post Diploma) degree. Thompson Rivers University Bachelor of Science Graduates with this SAIT applied degree are eligible for up to 60 transfer credits towards Thompson Rivers University's Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering Science major. University of Alberta Master of Science in Internetworking For Network Management majors only. Students are required to complete a Bachelor of Science through Athabasca University before entering the University of Alberta MINT program. Interested students should contact Athabasca University for additional details regarding completion of the Bachelor of Science in Computing and Information Systems (Post Diploma) degree program through ACAT Formal Agreement 118881. University of British Columbia Master of Educational Technology The minimum requirement for this Master of Educational Technology (MET) graduate degree is a 4-year undergraduate degree that is academically equivalent to a University of British Columbia 4-year Bachelor's degree. SAIT Bachelor of Applied Information Systems graduates who wish to pursue the MET must first complete the Bachelor of Science degree. Agreements are being discussed with Athabasca University and Thompson Rivers University which would accept the Bachelor of Applied Technology Information Systems for partial credit towards a Bachelor of Science degree. British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) Bachelor of Technology - Technology Management Entrance requirement into BCIT’s Bachelor of Technology in Technology Management states that a two-year post-secondary diploma of technology is the main requirement, therefore graduates of this SAIT diploma are eligible to apply along with English 12 or equivalent or English-language proficiency, two years of relevant work experience subject to departmental approval, and a personal interview with Program Head. NAIT Bachelor of Technology in Technology Management The Bachelor of Technology in Technology Management degree bridges the gap between technologists and engineers. Specializations are currently offered in Resources and Environmental Management, Applied Building Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology, and Mechanical and Manufacturing Technology, as well as a General Studies option. Open to graduates of an accredited or recognized Applied Science or Engineering Technology program with a minimum GPA of 2.3.  Updated April 30, 2008  GENERAL POLICY.


Thompson Rivers University Bachelor of Technology: Trades and Technology Leadership Graduates of any two-year technology program, who also have a minimum of 4 years experience related to their program of study, will be eligible to apply up to 60 credits towards the Bachelor of Technology in Trades and Technology Leadership degree program at Thompson Rivers University. University of New Brunswick, Saint John Bachelor of Applied Management

This Bachelor of Applied Management (BAM) degree program is extremely flexible and suited to two year diploma graduates wanting to receive their degree in two years (4 one term semesters). Admission requirements for this degree include successful completion of any two year program with an overall average of 70%.  The two years of study at University of New Brunswick would be specifically designed to build upon their studies and focus acquired through their college program. This program would be of interest to those college graduates who would like to progress their career in management.  Updated November 7, 2007   FORMAL AGREEMENT.

Camosun College, Victoria Computer Engineering Summer Bridge to University of Victoria Computer Engineering Technology graduates are eligible to apply for the Summer Intake Computer Engineering Bridge program (Late June to December) offered by Camosun with the full support and co-operation of the University of Victoria, provided all admission requirements are met. Athabasca University Bachelor of Science (Post Diploma) The four-year Bachelor of Science (Post Diploma) is offered by Athabasca University's Centre for Science. Students must have successfully completed an approved science-related technician or technology diploma from a college or institution of technology, or have provincial designation as a technician or technologist, before they enroll in the BSc(PD). The BSc(PD) is designed to allow students to continue studies towards a science degree from either the technician or technologist level. Students complete the program regulations in effect at the time of their enrolment. SAIT students are granted 60 credits at the Technologist level. Canadian Forces Naval Electronics Technician and Naval Weapons Technician Graduates of the Electronic Engineering Technology program who may be considering a career in the Canadian Forces are eligible for advanced standing as a Naval Electronics Technician (Communications, Radar or Sonar) and Naval Weapons Technician. They are also eligible to receive a salary (with benefits) and support to offset tuition and materials if they enroll in ENT through the Canadian Forces Non-Commissioned Member-Subsidized Education Plan and click on the "Paid College" tab . Cape Breton University Bachelor of Engineering Technology Individuals seeking admission to Cape Breton University's Bachelor of Engineering Technology - Petroleum (BET) must have completed this SAIT Electronics Engineering Technology diploma. Transfer students need to complete a minimum of 36 credits at CBU for the completion of this degree. Cape Breton University Bachelor of Engineering Technology Individuals seeking admission to Cape Breton University's Bachelor of Engineering Technology - Manufacturing (BET) (all courses available by distance) must have completed this SAIT Electronics Engineering Technology diploma. Lakehead University Bachelor of Engineering The Faculty of Engineering at Lakehead University offers post-diploma programs which enable qualified engineering technology graduates from accredited Canadian technology programs to obtain engineering degrees. The post-diploma programs consist of two years of full-time study preceded by four transition courses taken during July and August. Memorial University Bachelor of Technology Memorial University offers a Bachelor of Technology program, administered by the Marine Institute, with admission available to graduates of nationally accredited applied science/engineering technology and health science technology diploma programs. Graduates of the Electronics Engineering Technology diploma program may satisfy the requirements for the degree by successfully completing thirteen courses (39 credit hours) offered by a number of the University's faculties and schools, including a technical project and report. The degree is offered through distance delivery, with all the required courses, together with a number of elective choices, delivered using Internet-based technology.  Updated August 28, 2009 FORMAL AGREEMENT.

Griffith University Bachelor of Multimedia, Nathan and Gold Coast campus SAIT graduates have been given credit for 3 semesters towards this 6-semester program which will require only 3 semesters at Griffith University for completion of this degree. Entry in February only. Lethbridge College Multimedia Production Students who have successfully completed the first year of SAIT's New Media Production and Design diploma are eligible for admission to the second year of Lethbridge College's Multimedia Production diploma provided all other admission requirements are met and space is available. Mount Royal University Bachelor of Communications in Information Design New Media Production and Design graduates are eligible to receive 15 credits towards Mount Royal University’s Bachelor of Communications - Information Design degree The Mount Royal University chair will determine how the 15 credits will be used to satisfy degree requirements. Red Deer College Bachelor of Applied Motion Picture Arts SAIT students who graduate with this diploma are eligible to enter into the third year of the Red Deer College Bachelor of Applied Motion Picture Arts degree program, subject to other entrance requirements and space availability. Royal Roads University, Victoria Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication The Bachelor of Professional Communication is a completion degree program offering years three and four of an undergraduate degree. University of Calgary Bachelor of Communication Studies Graduates from this SAIT program may transfer to the Bachelor of Communication Studies program. This diploma will be credited toward eight of the required twenty full-course equivalents toward the BCS degree.  The remaining twelve full-course equivalents must include all University of Calgary requirements for the BCS.  If you want to attempt to complete the post-diploma BCS in two years you will have to complete two full-course equivalents in Spring or Summer sessions; otherwise you may need to take an additional year. University of New Brunswick, Saint John Bachelor of Applied Management This Bachelor of Applied Management (BAM) degree program is extremely flexible and suited to two year diploma graduates wanting to receive their degree in two years (4 one term semesters). Admission requirements for this degree include successful completion of any two year program with an overall average of 70%.  The two years of study at University of New Brunswick would be specifically designed to build upon their studies and focus acquired through their college program.
