SAIT Student's Association: Off-Campus Housing SAIT's International Homestay Housing Program In this program SAIT students live with a Canadian host family. The student is provided with his/her own room that includes a bed, and clothing storage. He/she also has access to the common areas and study spaces of the house and eats meals with the family, participates in family activities and helps with small household chores. Living with a host family assists the student to become familiar with Calgary and Canadian culture and with learning conversational English. At present, the cost of this program is $700 per month, which includes food and a private room. A 30 days notice is required if the student decides to leave the Homestay family. The student is responsible for any damages and for long distance calls made by the student.
Homestay search fee for students 18 and up - $175.00 CAD
Homestay search fee for students under 18 - $325.00 CAD Additional CAD$100 Homestay search fee would apply if Homestay application receive less than 14 days prior to arrival or first day of class. The Homestay search will not start until the search fee and application are received. There are no refunds for the Homestay search fee or late application fee.
