LIBRARY OPERATIONS ASSISTANT (LOA) CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT
The Library Operations Assistant (LOA) program consists of distance education courses designed to offer library training for those interested in working in small public and school libraries. LOA courses lead to a Library Operations Assistant Certificate of Achievement, which is attainable entirely through distance education.
There are two levels of LOA certification: (1) LOA Basic Level and (2) LOA Advanced Level. Approximately eight courses must be completed for the Basic Level, and an additional three courses for the Advanced Level. The LOA certificate includes three specific mandatory courses: LIBR 200, MGMT 203, LIBR 235.
