These programs provide hands-on training and range from six to 18 weeks in length and are highly recognized by industry for providing individuals with the key requirements to qualify as a potential apprentice. Pre-Employment Programs for the Skilled Trades | Skills Investment Program Funding The Skills Investment Program (SIP) provides financially disadvantaged adults with the opportunity to access the education and training they need to enable them to achieve independence through employment. If eligible, students may receive grant funding for tuition, books and a living allowance for the duration of their program.
