Master Design Certificate of Achievement
SAIT.ca - Continuing Education

The Master Design Certificate of Achievement provides training in all aspects of graphic design, web design and illustration including design theory, visual communication, computer graphics, technology, and professional skills. All courses are 'hands on' and are led by highly experienced instructors who have substantial knowledge of the software they teach, along with excellent knowledge of many other software packages.

In order for students to achieve their Master Design Certificate, they will need to complete all nine courses in the Master Design Certificate along with at least ONE of the Majors: Web Design or Graphic Design. Students can choose to complete both majors. Please see all options below. Core courses are common across both the Web Design and Graphic Design majors. OPTION 1: MAJOR IN WEB DESIGN

Web Design courses cover topics such as designing a website structure, development of a user Web-base interface, using cascading style sheets and web page documents. The PHP Course is geared toward anyone that wants to employ themselves as a serious webmaster developer.

To achieve the Master Design Certificate with a Major in Web Design you will need to complete all nine courses in the Master Design along with three courses from the Web Design Major, for a total of twelve courses. Choose any three of the four courses below.

OPTION 2: MAJOR IN GRAPHIC DESIGN

Graphic design is the act of arranging information visually through the use of letterforms (typography) and of other media such as illustration or photography. The graphic design courses cover topics such as elements of design, importing graphics, page layout and working with commonly used layout software.

To achieve the Master Design Certificate with a Major in Graphic Design you will need to complete all nine courses in the Master Design along with the four courses in the Graphic Design Major, for a total of thirteen courses.

OPTION 3: MAJOR IN BOTH WEB DESIGN AND GRAPHIC DESIGN

To achieve the Master Design Certificate, with a Major in both the Graphic and Web Design, you will need to complete all nine courses in the Master Design Certificate along with three courses in the Web Design and four courses in the Graphic Design Major for a total of 16 courses.
