SenSAtions and SenSAtions Express are the Students’ Association’s retail outlets on campus located in the Burns Building and in the Heart Building with just about anything you will need while on campus at student friendly pricing. SAITSA Seconds in the Burns Building is pleased to offer a consignment book and music store for students with you setting the price in order to pass on savings to other students!

CAMPUS SAFEWALK

Need a walk to your car at night? Call 403.284.7233. SAITSA Campus Safewalk is a free, volunteer-based service dedicated to ensuring the safety of all SAIT staff, students and visitors when travelling on or near SAIT’s main campus. Volunteers will walk you to your car, the C-Train or anywhere within a 10-block radius of campus.

STUDENT COUNSELLING SERVICES

Counsellors are available to help students with a broad range of educational, career and personal concerns.

These may include:

  • Educational issues such as exam anxiety, goal setting, academic difficulties, etc.
  • Personal issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, anger management, alcohol/drug use, communication skills, etc.
  • Career issues such as choosing a career field, decision-making, researching occupations, identifying career interests and goals - a variety of career exploration tools are available including a computerized career interest assessment.

These services are confidential and free for currently enrolled SAIT students. Counsellors can also assist with referrals to outside agencies when necessary. Workshops and groups on specific topics are offered throughout the year. Go to our page on mySAIT/Academic Resources/Counselling for more details.

Supplemental Instruction – weekly group review sessions in MATH-235 and PHYS-235 to improve understanding and increase grades

One-hour study skills workshops in time management, textbook/module reading skills, memory and concentration, note taking, effective exam strategies, test anxiety and other timely topics.

PARKING

Visitors to the campus may use any of the visitor parking lots. Permits are valid for day of purchase only, unless otherwise stated. A pay-on-exit system is in operation in lots P1, P2 and P6. Express payment may be made by inserting a credit card at the entry and exit terminals. Cash payments are accepted only at one of the five Pay Stations (located in Campus Centre, P6 Levels 1 and 3, Heart and Thomas Riley buildings).

Prepaid value cards are available for select lots.
