Program Description The Business Administration – Automotive Management program is Western Canada’s only management-oriented training program designed in cooperation with and specifically for the automotive industry. Your training will be a combination of business and automotive courses to prepare you for numerous positions and a variety of opportunities. This two-year diploma program includes two co-operative work terms which will give you the opportunity to gain experience in a paid placement in the automotive industry. This program will also utilize an e-Learning (SAIT-issued laptop computer) instructional delivery method. This format offers the combination of classroom instruction and network delivery using Desire2Learn via laptop computers. This program is held on SAIT’s main campus. Your Career Graduates will be prepared to find employment in: dealership operations (parts, sales, service and finance), automotive manufacturer entry-level positions, finance companies, aftermarket companies, and insurance or credit companies. Admission Requirements - Alberta High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 50% in the following courses or their equivalents: Pure Math 30 or Applied Math 30 and English Language Arts 30-1 or English Language Arts 30-2.

- Advance credit may be granted to applicants who have completed equivalent education at a post-secondary institution or have demonstrated equivalent experiential learning. Please refer to Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition.
Selection Criteria (2010-2011) Seats in this program are offered in the order that qualified applications are received. Student Success Students with higher secondary or post-secondary marks usually experience greater success in SAIT’s programs. Progression Students must attain a PGPA and/or a CGPA of 2.0 or better in each semester and pass the necessary prerequisite courses to progress through the program. To qualify for graduation, students must pass all courses, attain a CGPA of 2.0 or better and complete course requirements within the prescribed timelines. Credentials After successfully completing this program, graduates will be awarded a SAIT diploma in Business Administration – Automotive Management. Accreditation The program is a major component of the Canadian Automotive Industry’s (CAI) academic focus. In helping develop the program, the CAI has worked closely with automotive dealer associations and established strong relationships with automotive manufacturers and aftermarket industries. Tuition And Fees (Subject To Change) Books And Supplies (Subject To Change) - Books and supplies are approximately $1500 per year.
