Program Description The Administrative Information Management (AIM) two-year diploma is a specialized program in the School of Business – the only program of its kind in Canada. The program is a mix of business theory courses, practical information management and hands-on computer applications training. AIM is designed to provide graduates with the confidence and skills they need to succeed in business. Graduates have a firm understanding of how to gather, analyze and present various types of business information. It is a two-year; on-campus program which makes extensive use of SAIT issued laptop computers. Business courses include: project management, business studies, design studies, report and proposal writing, office administration, accounting, supervision, training and event management. Computer courses include: word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, project management, web page design, desktop publishing, digital imaging and accounting software applications. At the end of the second year, students complete a one-month practicum in a business environment and will be able to choose a career in a wide variety of exciting and challenging industries. Your Career AIM graduates find employment in a variety of exciting and challenging fields almost immediately upon graduation. Graduates work as office administrators and managers, project assistants, accounting assistants, corporate training coordinators, software administrators, executive assistants, administrative assistants, and document design specialists. Admission Requirements - Alberta High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 50% in English Language Arts 30-1 or English Language Arts 30-2 or equivalents.

Selection Criteria Seats in this program are offered in the order that qualified applications are received. Student Success - Students with higher grades usually experience more success in SAIT’s programs.
- Strong computer skills are highly recommended.
Progression Students must attain a PGPA and/or a CGPA of 2.0 or better in each semester to progress through the program. To qualify for graduation, students must pass all courses and attain a CGPA of 2.0 or better. Credentials After successfully completing this program, graduates will receive a SAIT Administrative Information Management diploma. Accreditation Administrative Information Management graduates can write an exam for a Certified Professional Secretary designation under the International Association of Administrative Professionals. Tuition And Fees (Subject To Change) Books And Supplies (Subject To Change) - Books and supplies are approximately $1,220 per year.
- There is a $500 refundable security deposit required for the use of the laptop.
