Gain a competitive edge by attending a SAIT Employment Workshop! To assist you with your search for employment, we offer a series of free employment workshops for SAIT students and alumni.

Resume and Cover Letter Workshop
This is a two-part workshop on how to market YOU! Learn to get an employer’s attention with your self-marketing documents (résumé, cover letter, reference list, and business cards) to obtain an interview.

Part I – Learn about industry-specific keywords, where to include them, and the importance of customization. (1 hr.)

Part II (the week following) – Bring your résumé with the changes recommended from Part I and get it critiqued! Utilize constructive feedback to make your résumé GOLD! (1 hr.)

Interview Strategies Workshop
Discover how to effectively research your new employer and prepare for interviews.

Part I – Use an Interview Planning Sheet and learn the STAR approach to behavioural-based questions. Discover strong questions to ask the employer and how to answer "What are your weaknesses?"  and "How much money are you expecting?" (1 hr.)

Part II (the week following) – Using the tools and knowledge from the previous week, answer some questions in a mock setting and hear constructive feedback from peers. (1 hr.)

Career Directions Prep Workshop
Learn about this creative self-marketing tool, used to demonstrate your relevant skills, experience and educational achievements to potential employers.
