Promising Futures™ Fun Festival - October 17, 2009 presented by TD Insurance Meloche Monnex

Saturday afternoon at the Fun Festival was anything but typical for SAIT. Visitors were greeted by colourfully-costumed stilt-walking clowns and the sounds of rock music from a loud speaker. The Promising FuturesTM Fun Festival drew hundreds of Calgarians who tried their hand at dozens of fun and interactive activities. They also had a chance to check out the impressive plans for the Trades and Technology Complex in a high-tech gallery located in Heritage Hall. Kids had their faces painted and munched on cookies they decorated themselves, while young and old enrolled in mini-camps to pick up some cooking and science skills. After a free barbecue lunch, sports fans were treated to free Trojan hockey and women’s volleyball games. The day was topped off with a classic Canadian rock concert in the Gateway starring Trooper.
