Projects to Support

Many exciting opportunities lie ahead for SAIT Polytechnic as it grows to meet the evolving needs of today's competitive marketplace.

With your help, we are building a promising future for our students and our province by continuing to provide world-class education our students who will one day enter the workforce and begin building our communities.

Below are some of the projects that need your support:

Trades and Technology Complex

A shortage of skilled workers -- both now and projected for the future -- is an issue on the minds of many young people at SAIT Polytechnic.

In order for SAIT to increase student access to education and maintain its position as a leader in polytechnic education, a significant investment in infrastructure is needed. A critical component of SAIT's vision for the future is the Trades and Technology Complex which will add 740,000 square feet of state-of-the-art learning space allowing up to 8,100 more full and part-time students each year in hands-on, career-oriented training.

Goals of the Trades and Technology Complex:

  • Educate more men and women in trades and technology to strengthen the workforce.
  • Increase interest among young Albertans.
  • Increase safety in the workplace by contributing to the overall skill level among employees.
  • Enhance the profile of trades and technology careers.

Learn how you can help realize our vision to provide hope and opportunity for thousands of new students. Visit the Promising Futures website or contact, Kristine Ignacio at 403.210.4053.

SAIT Opportunities Fund

Creating opportunities for the future begins with a quality education.

With a gift to the SAIT Opportunities Fund, you will help change students’ lives and improve their learning experience in fundamental ways. Your investment helps SAIT’s 13,000 students learn in state-of-the-art environments and achieve proficiency in the latest technology and equipment, learning skills that will better prepare them for the real world.

In recent years, gifts from alumni, industry and other community members have helped students in the following ways:

  • Construction students are benefiting from four newly renovated and equipped CADD design facilities
  • More students are learning from a distance by enrolling in online courses.
  • Students have better access to online library resources. The library enhanced its online collection of e-books, providing students with convenient 24/7 access.

Donate now online or contact Debby Deniset at 403.774.5214.

Alumni will also learn about the Opportunities Fund through SAIT’s Student Calling Program.  Throughout the year, SAIT student callers connect with alumni to raise funds that enhance the SAIT learning environment. For more information, contact Jorge Torres at 403.284.8858.
