Volunteer Opportunities

| "When I was invited to get involved at SAIT it seemed like an easy thing. How could a business with more than 100,000 customers not be successful!" Bill's right, it is an easy thing to be involved at SAIT. Whether you've got 10 minutes or 10 hours to share, you can make an impact. Opportunities range from mentoring to advisory committees and much more. Take a moment and get involved, help our students. Say thanks to SAIT!

Orientation - Take part! As a graduate, you know the value of your SAIT education. Why not share your knowledge and excitement about SAIT with the newest members of the SAIT family -- the students beginning this fall. You are the perfect person to tell them about the SAIT experience, show them the best places to study -- or to play hooky -- and to share your career path and experiences with them. There will be a number of different volunteer opportunities available at Orientation every September and January. For more information contact Sandy Bassett, Events Specialist, at 403.284.7089.

Share your Advice Whatever your interest, be it recruiting new students, helping at events, speaking or mentoring you can be involved at SAIT. Let us know your volunteer interest by contacting Leanne Makinson, Alumni Relations Officer at 403.210.4010.

Event Sponsors Sponsoring an event is an excellent opportunity for your organization to become involved with SAIT and to promote your company and to acquire new customers. To find out more about how to become a sponsorship partner with SAIT, please contact Ron Goldberger or call 403.210.4322.

Giving to SAIT
"Philanthropy creates new philanthropists. The recognition I have received for my achievements is something I want to pass along. I look forward to a time when I can do for others what has been done for me." >>Guy Stuhlmiller PT '99, Scholarship Recipient "I am delighted to make this gift. SAIT is an integral part of Calgary, it has certainly done us well as a company and myself as an individual. SAIT put me on the road and I've not forgotten." >>Hank Swartout PT '72, Chairman, President & CEO, Precision Drilling Corporation
You know that you received a great education at SAIT and SAIT is committed to providing our students with quality training as the foundation for their success. One part of the foundation is rewarding academic excellence or helping those facing financial difficulties to obtain an education. SAIT provides a great advantage in supporting its students. We currently offer in excess of 2,800 awards valued at more than $3.4 million to our students. But the demand for awards is increasing as we receive six times more applications than the amount of funding available. You can help. Start a scholarship, or give annually to the SAIT Opportunities Fund - our expert Alumni and Development Officers can help you say thank you to SAIT in this tangible way. Contact us at 403.210.4053.
