View more photos | Rolling out the red carpet – literally – for 400 donors and supporters, guests enjoyed a gala evening of fine dining, excellent entertainment and a first look at designs for SAIT’s ambitious megaproject – the Trades and Technology Complex. Our invited guests, dressed to the nines in black-tie and evening gown attire, gathered in the Heart Atrium to celebrate the public launch of the Promising FuturesTM Campaign. They were treated to a five-course gourmet meal prepared by students from SAIT's School of Hospitality and fabulous performances by Canadian Idol winner Kalan Porter and the Calgary Youth Singers. SAIT President and CEO Irene Lewis, SAIT Board of Governors chair Mike Begin and Promising FuturesTM Campaign chair Keith MacPhail paid tribute to individuals and companies who have already committed $37.5 Million towards the $445 Million dollar Complex, which is the biggest expansion in SAIT’s history.
