Employment Opportunities Exciting professional opportunities exist for our graduates throughout Alberta and across Canada. Graduates from the School of Health and Public Safety help fill a large number of urgently needed positions in healthcare each year. Most of our graduates are hired immediately upon graduation and many receive employment offers months before graduation. 

Dedicated Faculty Work With Health Industry At SAIT's School of Health and Public Safety, our team of dedicated health professionals work with leaders in health to update course content and create new programs. We offer specialized training in diagnosis and therapeutic technologies, professional assistant programs, information management and wellness training. The School of Health and Public Safety offers eight diploma and nine certificate programs. Diploma Programs: Certificate Programs: Most of the School of Health and Public Safety programs receive many more applications than the number of student spaces available. For these programs, applications are reviewed on a competitive basis. 

Lower Enrolled Programs Applications are welcomed for our lower enrolled programs. Acceptance success is higher in these programs: 

Continuing and Distance Education The School of Health and Public Safety also offers Continuing Education courses for part-time health studies in health fundamentals, life support training and other health-related courses. Distance Education courses are offered online, which are enhancement courses or refresher courses. Some examples: Histology, Phlebotomy, Chemistry, Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology and Infection Prevention and Control.
