Instrumentation Engineering Technology MacPhail School of Energy
Instrumentation Engineering Technology (IIET) provides students with sound theoretical and practical training in the operation and maintenance of automated process control and measurement systems.Jobs in Instrumentation Engineering Technology apply knowledge and principles of pneumatic, electronic and microcomputer systems to measure and control pressure, flow, temperature level, chemical composition and other variables in petroleum processes. The job of a Instrumentation Engineering Technologist is to ensure the safety, accuracy and the efficiency of processes.
In the IIET program we focus on: process measurement and controls, process analyzers, digital and analog electronics, pneumatic and electronic instruments. distributed and computer process control systems (DCS, PLC and SCADA).
Centres of Technology At SAIT you get the advantage of hands on training in our state-of-the-art labs with small class sizes, and instruction from our industry-experienced faculty.
