| BSc Construction Project Management Launches 3rd Year Advanced Standing Option – May 2012 enrolment.

The School of Construction wishes to announce the launch of the 3rd Year Advance Standing option for the Bachelor of Science in Construction Project Management. The 3rd Advance Standing option was created for SAIT Civil Engineering Technology (CVT) diploma graduates or equivalent graduates from an accredited post-secondary institution, with a minimum 3.0 GPA; providing a bridge into the third year of the BSc Construction Project Management.
Similar advanced credit may be granted to individuals who have completed equivalent education at a post secondary institution or have demonstrated equivalent experiential learning. As a CVT graduate or individual with applicable training or work experience, you can enter this four-year degree program in its third year and graduate in only two years.
Student Success As a baccalaureate program, the Bachelor of Science (Construction Project Management) will have a high level of academic challenge and rigour. The level of course difficulty will increase with each year of the program. Students who invest sufficient time and energy in their studies are more likely to achieve success in the program. Due to the high level of technology use in the program, students are strongly recommended to be fully conversant in computer use and Microsoft Office programs prior to enrolment. Progression Meeting the Admission Requirements is the first step in the selection process. However, you may also be required to meet additional criteria in order to gain admission into the program. Students are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the selection criteria. In addition, you must attain a SPGPA (Semester Program Grade Point Average) and/or CPGPA (Cumulative Program Grade Point Average) of 2.0 or better in each semester to progress through the program. In addition to satisfactory academic progression through the program, students must successfully complete the non-credit Electronic Portfolio requirement. Credentials Upon successful completion of this program, graduates will receive a SAIT Bachelor of Science (Construction Project Management) baccalaureate degree.
