 | | Mike Begin | | Mike Begin is President and CEO of Spartan Controls Ltd. Spartan is an Alberta company that sells, applies and services process control and instrumentation products and has long been a very active supporter of SAIT, other educational institutes, charities and community causes. Spartan, an industry leader with nine locations in Western Canada, has also been recognized as one of Canada’s Best 50 Managed Companies for the past five to six years. Mike is also a strong education and community advocate and has supported SAIT in various advisory roles including the Chairman’s Circle Advisory since 2001, and as a Vice Chair for SAIT’s Invest in Technology Campaign. He serves and has served on boards for various companies and associations. Prior to his current role at Spartan, Mike has held executive positions based in the US with global responsibilities, in Singapore with Asia Pacific responsibilities, and managed Canadian business operations. He is an engineering graduate from the University of Waterloo.
