		Bill Lingard (Chair, Board of Governors)

Bill Lingard (Chair, Board of Governors) was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Flint Energy Services Ltd. in January 2005.  Prior to Flint Energy, Bill had many achievements with over 26 years of experience and increasingly senior positions in the energy services sector within North America.  Over the past 16 years, he has held senior executive positions in Calgary including President of Nabors Drilling Canada, Chief Operating Officer of Enserco Energy Services and Country Manager of Halliburton Canada Ltd.  He spent five years in Houston with Halliburton in various management positions.

Bill is well-respected in the industry and has served on several industry boards.  Bill is currently a member of the Board of Governors of the Calgary Petroleum Club and serves as a member of the Government of Alberta’s Oil and Gas Economic Advisory Council for the Minister of Energy.  He was Chairman of the Executive Oilmen’s Association of Canada in 2004 and Chairman of the Petroleum Services Association of Canada in 2000.  He has been an active volunteer in the industry and was Chairman of the STARS Gala fundraiser in 2001 after several years on that committee.  Bill has a reputation for leading strong executive and management teams and a track record of success in large diverse organizations.

His education includes a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Memorial University and Business Management courses from the University of Texas.
